Interfering

Lao Tzu means that the interference of the people on what is natural ruined the natural and by ruining the natural way, it means that the things that are supposed to be on their place are not anymore on its place like in the Tao Te Ching 46 ‘When Tao is present in the universe, the horses haul manure. When the Tao is absent in the universe, war horses are bred outside the city’ it says that when things are on its natural way the things will just run by itself and do what the things naturally do but when the way of nature is lost and when people interfere and destroys the way of nature, things will be not on its proper place and things will not run itself and things will not do its way naturally because the natural way is destroyed and being interfered by the human way.

Tao Te Ching 57 (First Paragraph)

Tao Te Ching 57 (First Paragraph)
If you want to be a great leader,
you must learn to follow the Tao.
Stop trying to control.
Let go of fixed plans and concepts,
and the world will govern itself.

Today I will interpret the Tao Te Ching 57 (First Paragraph). If you want to be a great leader, you must learn to follow the Tao. It is true that it is when you follow the Tao that you will be a great leader, because following the Tao means following what is natural and not doing things too much because doing things too much will actually fail you. Stop trying to control. It is when you control, that things tend to fail. Let go of fixed plans and concepts, and the world will govern itself. It is when you let go of plans and concept, that makes the world govern itself and things will be according to what is natural and it is when the things are on its natural order that makes things proper or correct.

Tao Te Ching 64 (Third Part)

Tao Te Ching 64 (Third Part)
Rushing into action, you fail.
Trying to grasp things, you lose them.
Forcing a project to completion, you ruin what was almost ripe.

Today I will interpret the Tao Te Ching 64 (Third Part). Rushing into action, you fail. It is true that when you rush you fail. For example, in a war, when you are rushing to defeat the enemy, you are likely to fail or to be defeated because you don’t plan it well and when you don’t plan things well, your anticipation is limited and you might underestimate your enemy, but when you don’t rush into action and plan what you will do, you are more likely to win the war and it will lead you to victory. Trying to grasp things, you lose them. It is true that when you grasp things you lose them, because you did not let it done on its way. Forcing a project to completion, you ruin what was almost ripe. I will give the caterpillar that almost becoming a butterfly as an example. When you try or help to open the caterpillar that is almost to become a butterfly, you actually did not help it but you actually ruin it because it did not develop well or on its own and it is not ready to become a butterfly, so what you’ve done is you ruin what was almost ripe.

Tao Te Ching 64

Tao Te Ching 64

Today i will interpret the Tao Te Ching 64 especially in the part that is said that ‘The sage does not act, and so is not defeated. He does not grasp and therefore does not lose.’ When one does something, it means that the things that he has done have a result, and the result is not known. And when the result is not known, you will not know whether you lose or you win therefore the sage does not act so there will be no bad result. And the sage does not grasp because when grasping, it has the result of falling therefore the sage don’t do a thing. Therefore, namelessness is philosophy as demonstrated in Ancient Chinese Philosophy by Lao Tzu in the way he characterizes the sage.

Synthesis 5

What is Philosophy as demonstrated in Ancient Chinese Philosophy by Lao Tzu in the way he specifies the solution to the problem.

Being neutral is the philosophy as demonstrated in Ancient Chinese Philosophy by Lao Tzu in the way he specifies the solution to the problem. The solution to the problem is being a king but before being a king or ruling a place, you should become a sage first, for you to rule the country. Being a sage means having the virtues in him. When a king becomes a king but not undergone being a sage, he will not have the values and virtues that a sage has and he will be no good in solving a problem in a country he rules. A king who did not undergone being a sage, is a king who has no virtue and impatient and wants a change instantly because the impatient are the one who like change and the one who is impatient can’t solve a problem.

Being a king that undergone being a sage means he knows that he should not too much interfere in different agendas in his kingdom because the more the king interferes, the more the trouble the kingdom will have. But when the king doesn’t interfere too much, he will never create a problem or trouble in his kingdom. When a king interfere and uses force as a main effort to maintain order in his kingdom, the king would become not good in the eyes of his people but when the king don’t do a thing that would harm his people, he will become good in the eyes of people and when he becomes good in the eyes of the people, the king will be attractive to the people he govern and when the king is attractive to the eyes of the people, he will be respected or look upon by people.

A king who undergone being a sage knows that weapon and might is a big no when ruling a kingdom because weapons and might will create fear in the eyes of the people or to the eyes of the nearest other kingdom and when there is fear, there will be a turmoil, and when there is a turmoil, people will do a thing to counteract what or who they fear but when the king does not show might or weapon and not just do a thing, people he rule or the nearest other kingdom in his country will we at peace and when people are at peace, they will not do a thing and just live the kingdom peacefully.

When the king undergone being a sage, it means that the king can rule his country well and a sage does not do a thing for him not to create trouble because the more action you will do the more chance of creating a trouble, therefore the philosophy as demonstrated in Ancient Chine Philosophy by Lao Tzu is being neutral or not doing a thing.

Tao Te Ching 2

Today I will interpret the Tao Te Ching 2. In the Tao Te Ching 2, especially in the part that is said that ‘Therefore the sage goes about doing nothing, teaching no-talking; Creating, yet possessing; Working, yet not taking credit.’ In this part we can see that the sage don’t do a thing to be credited for something because the sage don’t want to be credited or don’t want fame. When one teach, it means that he/she sees himself as something because he/she thinks that he has the capacity to teach and it made him/her bragging about himself that he know something or know many things.

Tao Te Ching 79 (Second Part

Tao Te Ching 79 (Second Part
Therefore the master
fulfills his own obligations
and corrects his own mistakes.
He does what he needs to do
and demands nothing of others.

Today I will interpret the Tao Te Ching 79 (Second Part). The master fulfills his own obligations and corrects his own mistakes. It means that the master do what he needs to do and does not allow someone from doing what he needs to do because it’s his obligations and not others obligations, so he is the one that can only fulfill his obligations. He corrects his own mistakes and does not blame someone for his mistakes. When he has done something wrong or failed in doing a thing, he does not blame someone; instead he accepts his fault for him to learn from it and corrects it. He also does what he needs to do because the master do what need to be done and it should be done on time and does not let someone do what he needs to do because he should do what he needs to do and because it’s his obligation. He demands nothing of others, because he should make an effort in fulfilling or doing what he needs to do, he does not demands for others because it’s his own work to do therefore it should be him alone who should do the work that needs to be done and not by others.
