Today I will interpret the Tao Te
Ching 79 (Second Part). The master fulfills his own obligations and corrects
his own mistakes. It means that the master do what he needs to do and does not
allow someone from doing what he needs to do because it’s his obligations and
not others obligations, so he is the one that can only fulfill his obligations.
He corrects his own mistakes and does not blame someone for his mistakes. When he
has done something wrong or failed in doing a thing, he does not blame someone;
instead he accepts his fault for him to learn from it and corrects it. He also
does what he needs to do because the master do what need to be done and it
should be done on time and does not let someone do what he needs to do because
he should do what he needs to do and because it’s his obligation. He demands
nothing of others, because he should make an effort in fulfilling or doing what
he needs to do, he does not demands for others because it’s his own work to do
therefore it should be him alone who should do the work that needs to be done
and not by others.
